Katie Moran, CMHCI

About Me

I am passionate about helping people create meaningful change in their lives, achieve their goals, and explore the challenges that may get in the way of flourishing.

Katie provides counseling services at Hope Christian Counseling while completing her master’s-level training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The University of Utah, where she previously completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology. Katie has experience working as a student clinician, counseling adults in a community mental health clinic. She has worked with teens and adults in TMS therapy, using neuroscience and the habitual practice of gratitude to support healthier neural connections and help people create positive, lasting change in their lives. She also has years of experience working with children diagnosed with ASD in Applied Behavior Analysis.

Katie has a passion for helping people flourish in all areas of their lives, drawing on a variety of evidence-based approaches, such as person-centered therapy, solution-focused therapy, CBT, and play therapy, to meet the needs of the children, teens, and adults she works with.

God is the center of my life. I enjoy practicing gratitude and mindfulness by spending time in nature. Intentionally slowing down and taking notice of all that the Lord has created in this way is a great source of rejuvenation for me. Also, I greatly value the time I have with friends and family; it brings me great joy to connect with others.
